KFC restaurant general manager

At Collins Foods Europe, we believe that strong organizations start with trust, honesty, and good collaboration. From our Support Office in Amsterdam, we support the growth of our KFC in the Netherlands and Germany. To strengthen our European HR team, we are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist who plays a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. In this role, you are a trusted advisor for management, HR Business Partners, employees, and Works Councils. You navigate easily in complex and sometimes sensitive situations and ensure careful, consistent, and legally correct solutions that align with our values.

What you will do

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you are the point of contact for everything related to labor relations. You maintain an overview, keep calm, and bring parties together. You operate at the intersection of people, organization, and legislation. You handle sensitive cases with calm and professionalism, safeguarding the interests of both the organization and the employee. You work closely with HR, Legal, and management and play an active role in maintaining a constructive relationship with both Dutch Works Councils. Additionally, you contribute to organization-wide improvements by identifying and addressing trends and risks within employee relations.

In essence, this means you will be involved in:

  • Advising and supporting on complex employee relations issues and investigations;

  • Guiding Works Council processes, change processes, and consultations;

  • Enhancing the knowledge and skills of managers in the field of labor relations;

  • Providing training and advice to managers on labor relations and communication skills.

What you bring

You are an analytically strong and communicatively skilled professional with persuasiveness. You carefully weigh interests and act consistently, professionally, and with integrity even in complex or sensitive situations.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Employee Relations, HR, or labor law, with solid knowledge of Dutch labor law;

  • Demonstrable experience in guiding complex ER cases, investigations, and advising management, including collaboration with Works Councils;

  • Strong advisory skills towards senior stakeholders, a careful and discreet work style, and fluent proficiency in Dutch and English (German is a plus).

What to expect?

At Collins Foods Europe, you will have the opportunity to make an impact within an international and dynamic organization with clear values. Plenty of room for initiative and growth. We ask a lot, but we also give a lot in return:

  • A substantively strong and visible role within the European HR team;

  • Significant influence on culture, leadership, and employee experience;

  • A professional, informal work environment with short lines of communication;

  • Competitive salary and good benefits;

  • A company car (business use);

  • A laptop and phone;

  • Hybrid working and focus on a healthy work-life balance;

  • Room for development through education and training;

  • A pleasant work atmosphere with social gatherings and team outings;

  • A good competitive salary and excellent secondary benefits;

  • 25 vacation days + 2 additional (designated by Collins) days off;

  • Bonus scheme and stock allocation for permanent contracts;

  • Solid pension scheme (significant employer contribution);

  • And of course: lots of delicious chicken.

Where will you work?

Collins Foods Europe is part of Collins Foods Limited, an international franchise organization with a rich history and strong growth ambitions. From Amsterdam, we support our restaurants and support departments in the Netherlands and Germany. Together, we build strong teams, engaged leaders, and a work culture centered on respect, trust, and performance.
